Mason turns 4!

It is hard to believe cousin Mason is 4. He had a party on Sunday at Amazing Jake's. The kids all had a great time. Porter really enjoyed the cookie cake.

Sandman

Porter loves his new sand and water play table that he got for his birthday from Katie, Chris and Noah. Now that it is finally cooling off a little at night, we like having something fun to do outside.

Porter Potato

Porter was doing a great job feeding himself mashed potatoes with his spoon the other night. By the time I grabbed the camera, he figured out it was easier to just put the potatoes in his mouth using his hand.

Porter and Daddy eat cake

The Monkey Cake

Porter was a very lucky boy as Daddy asked his pastry chef to make a monkey cake for the party. We were completely blown away by the result! Porter's cake looks like it came from a pastry competition or Ace of Cakes. And it tasted good too! Thank you Chef Chris for all of your hard work.

Chef Chris in action!

Porter even had a separate monkey cake all to himself to destroy!

Porter's Party

It's hard to believe Porter is already 1 year old! The time has gone by so fast. We celebrated on Saturday with family and a few friends. The birthday boy had a great time playing with all of the little boys.

Go Steelers!

Porter and Daddy had so much fun cheering on the Steelers in their season opener this weekend. We joined friends Jeff, Tracy and Ainsley at a local (and kid-friendly) Steeler's bar and grill.

Children's Museum

Porter and I spent Saturday afternoon at the Phoenix Children's museum with Chanda, Joan, Mason and Cameron. The boys had a great time and we were all exhausted by the end of the afternoon!

Labor Day Weekend

Porter and I spent Labor Day weekend in Nebraska with GG and Grandpa Ted. We spent time at the farm, went to the park, and made a trip to Grand Island for the Sorensen Family Reunion.

Look at all of this grass to play in!

Come on GG, let's pick flowers

If we pick peaches, GG might make some peach jelly
