The road to nowhere

Vinyl wall decals are the coolest thing I have discovered in awhile. I constructed this road in P's new big boy room all across one wall. He loves it! I can't wait to put up the flower decals I got for the baby's room!

Father's Day 2010

We had a great Father's day this year. Porter got Daddy a hat that said "Big Guy" and matched his "Little Guy" hat. We spent the day together and then took Daddy out to dinner. We finished off the night with Big Daddy Chocolate Cake!

Daddy's helper

Porter and Daddy worked hard on Saturday to get the yard work done and the patio cleaned up.

Bubble wrap

As Daddy worked to assembly/install the ceiling fan for P's big boy room, Porter lounged in his chair and popped the bubble wrap the pieces came in. And yes, he is wearing his snowboots once again!

Pump it up

We were invited to a birthday party for our friends' daughter Ainsley at Pump it Up. At first Porter was scared of the giant slide, but by the end of the party he didn't want to leave. Might have to consider having his next party there...

Children's Museum

Last weekend we met Katie, Chris, Noah & Hudson at the Phoenix Children's Museum. The boys had a great time! Porter's favorite thing was the flower cart.

Swim Lessons 2010

P and I started swim lessons this week. It wasn't until the first night of class when I realized that his swim clothes were too small. He wore them the first night and then I got him new ones for the second night! Hopefully daddy can make it to one of the classes to get some action pictures of his lessons.

Big boy bed

Porter loves his happy blue big boy room! He has slept in his big boy bed the last 4 nights.

Happy blue room

With the baby on the way, we have decided to move Porter to a different bedroom and keep his room as the nursery. He insisted that his big boy room be painted "happy blue" which is Porter speak for light blue. We still have to get furniture for his new room, but mommy finished painting it this weekend and made the bed with his new bedding.

Ritz Family Picnic

On the hottest day of the summer so far we attended the Ritz employee picnic at the train park in Scottsdale. Porter had a blast riding the carousel and the train, but his favorite part of the day was the water fight he got into with some of daddy's employees! Thanks to Chef Pedro and Dejon for the fun water fight!

Puppy blankie hat

Porter's two most valued possessions are Frank the bear and his favorite blanket that he calls puppy blankie. When I started going through all of his old baby clothes to see what I could reuse for the new baby, we came across a hat in the same fabric as puppy blankie! He was so excited!

My own merry maid?

Last weekend he wants to mop the bathroom floor, then during the week I find him playing with the swiffer duster...I sure hope this behavior continues! On a side note, he barely wore his slippers all winter but now that it is 100 degrees outside he has been wearing them around the house all week!
